Call for Nominations of the JCN Paper Award

The Journal of Communications and Networks (JCN) is published by the Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences (KICS) and is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc).

This award recognizes outstanding original papers published in JCN over the past three years (January 2023 to December 2025).

Eligibility

• The paper must be published in Journal of Communications and Networks (JCN) in the last three years (January 2023 to December 2025).
• The paper should be nominated by an IEEE ComSoc member or KICS member.
• Award committee can recommend additional candidates.
• Self-nomination is not accepted.

Selection Criteria

• Impact, originality, utility, timeliness, and clarity of presentation.

Award Prize

• Plaque and honorarium up to US $2,500 (award total each paper).

Nomination and Selection Processes

• Please complete the Nomination Form and email it to jcn@kics.or.kr with the subject of “2026 JCN Best Paper Award Nomination” before the deadline. The Nomination Form is attached.
• The JCN Paper Award Committee evaluates eligible nominations and additional candidates recommended by the committee, and select the awardee(s).

Important Dates:

• Nomination Submission Deadline: March 20, 2026
• Announcement of Awardees: April 20, 2026
• Award Ceremony at IEEE ICC 2026 (May 2026)
